Configuring Holidays Holiday / Office Closure Rules in 3CX V18 - Not for 3CX startUP

Step-by-Step Instructions

Being able to configure a message for situations like office closure or when a diversion schedule is necessary is beneficial.

This greeting message can communicate to your customers that the office is currently closed and will reopen on a specified day, for instance.

Once the message is conveyed, the 'Out of Hours' Rules take effect.

Go to your 3CX URL in chrome or edge browsers, ie https://CompanyName.3cx.com.au and log into the Admin Console.
The admin console is the same as your webclient without webclient at the end.

Login with your 3CX email address and password. NOTE: Only admin users can log in to the admin console section.

In your admin console please go to Settings and then click on Timezone, Office Hours & Holidays

On this page under Configure Holidays click on Add.

In this section given your rule a name, a range of dates and a prompt.

In this Christmas example, I have called the rule Christmas, selected the 24th to the 31st of December, and selected the Office Closed message.

You can also upload a new message by clicking on Add or Record

This message will play initially before sending all calls to the Out of Hours routing you have set.

Please note if you have "Setup Specific Hours Set for this trunk" enabled in the sip trunks page you will need to select play holiday prompt when its a global holiday in the settings of each sip trunk.
