Webclient User not becoming available or registered on the v20 3CX


PROBLEM:

After V20 upgrade and a Chrome update. Now we are encountering an issue to some of the web client users that they will stay "NOT REGISTERED" status even though they're logged in to the web client.


FIX:

With version 20, web clients need to have notifications enabled on their computers for the web client to work correctly.

NEW interface POST June 2026:
Click the bell icon on the top right of the screen and allow the notification setting.


OLD interface PRIOR to June 2026:
Click the bell icon in the top left corner and allow the notification settings when the web client is first accessed.


Alternate Manual Method:
If this is missed and no longer there, you can do this manually, pasting this URL into the address bar and enter it in Chrome to access the section below:

chrome://settings/content/notifications?search=notification



Enter your webclient URL https://hostname.dmain.com, for example https://tronic.3cx.com.au, in the "Allowed to send notifications" section above.

This will now show the users as registered.
