How to locate your 3CX QR code
There are two ways to locate your unique QR code:
- In your Welcome Email (subject Welcome to 3CX) as an attachment. If you can’t locate the email, ask your administrator to resend it.
- In your Web Client, go to Settings > Scan QR Code.
Set up your extension in the 3CX app for iOS
- Install the 3CX app for iOS from the App store.
- Open the app. Read and accept the license agreement and allow various permissions the app needs (e.g. camera and microphone).
- Scan the QR code from your Welcome Email or the Web Client to automatically configure your extension.
How to make a call on your iOS device
Using the iOS app to make a call is as straightforward as making a call from your smartphone’s native call function.
- Enter a number via the dial pad.
- Press call.
Or:
- View contacts and search by name, extension number, or email address.
- Select a contact, then press Call.
How to schedule a conference call
- Tap on the Menu button on the top left corner.
- Select Conference, then tap New.
- Add your Subject, Notes, and set the date and time of your conference.
- Add participants by selecting existing contacts or enter their phone number or email address.
- Tap Done.
How to create an ad-hoc conference
You can easily add participants to an ongoing call to create an ad-hoc conference.
To turn a call to a conference:
- Click Conference.
- Search for who you want to add to the call by name or extension or enter their phone number.
- Tap Call. They will be automatically dialed and added to your call.
Set up your extension in the 3CX app for Android
- Install the 3CX app from the Google Play Store.
- Allow 3CX to access the camera then scan the QR code from your Welcome Email or from Web Client.
- Make a test call to the Echo service. It will ask for permission to make and manager phone calls and to record audio.
- Click Allow, make the call and you’re all set!
How to place a call with the 3CX Android app
In Contacts, search by name, number or email address then click the phone icon next to the contact.
How to schedule a conference call
- Tap the Menu button on the upper left corner.
- Select Conference then New. In this example, click Meetings then + sign on the lower right.
- Add your Subject and Notes, then choose a date and time to schedule your conference.
- Add participants by selecting existing contacts or enter their phone number or email address.
- Tap Done.
